Single Payer Health Care Legislation

Congressman John Conyers, Jr. (D-MI) has introduced HR 676, national single-payer health care legislation, which would cover every person in the U.S. for all necessary medical care including prescription drugs and dental. HR 676 ends deductibles and co-payments and saves hundreds of billions by eliminating the private health insurance industry with its high overhead and profits.

Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) has introduced three major health care proposals in the United States Senate, including S 703, the American Health Security Act, which would establish a single-payer, state-administered health care system in the U.S.
